The Division of Air Quality is announcing a new General Operating Permit (GOP-002A) for "Manufacturing and Materials Handling Equipment" each with a Potential To Emit (PTE) less than the reporting threshold for each air contaminant for major facilities (subject to Title V of the Federal Clean Air Act). This General Operating Permit is replacing the current General Operating Permit (GOP-002), "Small Emitter General Air Permit (SEGAP)."

GOP-002A allows for the construction, installation, modification, and operation of single or multiple pieces of uncontrolled or controlled manufacturing and materials handling equipment each with a PTE less than the reporting threshold for each air contaminant.

The Department published notice of the proposed General Operating Permit in the August 20, 2018, New Jersey Register at 50 N.J.R. 1910(b), pursuant to the Air Pollution Control Act, N.J.S.A. 26:2C-9.2. The Department reviewed and evaluated the comments received, and is issuing GOP-002A under the authority of N.J.S.A. 26:2C-9.2 and N.J.A.C. 7:27-22, as proposed.

The New Jersey Office of Information Technology (NJOIT) will be implementing multi-factor authentication when logging into the myNewJersey portal on or about Friday, August 17th, 2018. What this means to you as a user if you choose to enable multi-factor authentication for your account, is that you will not only have to enter your user id and password, but will be given a third value to enter, which will be sent to you via text to your cell phone. While this is a more secure method of logging in, please be aware that enabling multi-factor authentication for your account is COMPLETELY OPTIONAL at this point, and only enabled if you authorize it. As a user of NJDEP Online, there will be no change required to access your current account if you do not choose to enable multi-factor authentication. Should you choose to opt-in to the multi-factor authentication, any issues that arise should be reported to NJOIT (Contact myNewJersey Support).
