The New Jersey Office of Information Technology (NJOIT) will be
implementing multi-factor authentication when logging into the
myNewJersey portal on or about Friday, August 17th, 2018. What this
means to you as a user if you choose to enable multi-factor
authentication for your account, is that you will not only have to
enter your user id and password, but will be given a third value to
enter, which will be sent to you via text to your cell phone. While
this is a more secure method of logging in, please be aware that
enabling multi-factor authentication for your account is
COMPLETELY OPTIONAL at this point, and only
enabled if you authorize it. As a user of NJDEP Online, there will
be no change required to access your current account if you do not
choose to enable multi-factor authentication. Should you choose to
opt-in to the multi-factor authentication, any issues that arise
should be reported to NJOIT (Contact myNewJersey Support).
